People & Culture Administrator
Full Time position available in Chilliwack, BC
The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented People & Culture Administrator to join our dynamic HR team! In this role, you’ll support key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and more. You’ll help shape a positive workplace culture by assisting with policy development, organizing company events, and managing employee records. Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
- Assist in creating job descriptions and posting them across various platforms. Organize and download resumes daily, ensuring they are stored in the appropriate folders. Conduct initial resume screenings and, as needed, phone interviews. Coordinate interview schedules with relevant parties.
Onboarding:
- Help draft job offer letters and, upon acceptance, manage the onboarding checklist to inform relevant parties and collect necessary information. Coordinate start dates and orientations. Conduct the final segment of orientation and schedule follow-ups for 2-month reviews and 3-month probation discussions.
DeVry Events:
- Provide support for planning and executing events and initiatives. Organize monthly company lunches and coordinate with stakeholders. Arrange special treats for occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, or warm weather days.
Employee Files:
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and information.
Policy Creation/Maintenance:
- Support the People & Culture Manager in developing and maintaining company policies.
Foreign Worker Program:
- Submit LMIA applications for BC and AB locations. Occasionally assist with paperwork related to foreign worker programs. Ensure proper recordkeeping for People & Culture and payroll. Book arrival and departure flights for foreign workers.
Travel Support:
- Book flights, rentals, and hotels for the Leadership Team and others as needed. Coordinate conference and event bookings in relation to travel arrangements for various departments.
Support:
- Assist the People & Culture department with administrative tasks and proactively take initiative when needed.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma required; some post-secondary education is an asset.
Experience:
- Previous experience in Human Resources is preferred, but not required.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organization abilities.
- A continuous desire to improve all aspect of the business.
- A positive, can-do attitude is essential for success in this role.

Compensation
- Initial starting wage is $18.00-$21.00/hr. and is dependent on expertise and experience.
